I think it would be very good to have the phrase "creating a viable free open source alternative to Magma, Maple, Matlab, and Mathematica" as soon as possible on the main page. You'll notice that this is in big bold right in the middle of sagemath.org right now. Also, if you look at a *lot* of the blog posts on Sage they really "get" that description. I just did a google blog search on sage, and one of the first hits was this random blog I've never seen before: http://mobkarma.com/node/66 The person starts "MemeStreams informs about SAGE, a opensource mathematics software and alternative to Magma, Maple, Mathematica, and Matlab." I think somehow that statement makes it clear to people right off exactly what Sage claims to be about. -- William --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to sage-devel@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-devel URLs: http://www.sagemath.org -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
