Michael, I don't mean to rain on the parade, but: I personally am willing to try to resolve the problems compiling Maxima with ECLS, but I can't promise that anyone else is going to be interested. > There is no point in beating the dead horse that is gcl. It has been proposed more than once on the Maxima mailing list to drop GCL. The main issue is that GCL runs on Windows and some other Lisps of interest (SBCL, CMUCL) do not.
