My main machines are all macOS. I never thought building Sage on macOS is not robust, though there are transient hiccups once in a while, of course. I am now building the latest release on both macOS 15.3.1 with intel chip and with M4 chip from scratch. Would you try again on your machine? I may help you though I am not savvy as much as Dima.
