Hi David,
I poked around in the install log and the issue is "Resource
temporarily unavailable", i.e. the dreaded OSX resource limits that
are too low. A suggested fix is at
http://wiki.sagemath.org/Tips
So: no bug in Sage here, nothing to see, go along ;)
It would be nice if the two issues from Tips would be moved to the
FAQ.
