The ".doctest_tut.py" files on 10.4.11 and 10.5.1 seem identical  
(they have the same 'sum').  No clue what's up here, but it's clear  
that 'mwrank' is biting it during this test.  I tried to run this .py  
with verbosity on, but nothing leaps right out at me, and there's  
certainly no indication of a crash.

I suppose it's possible that there's a "bad garbage vs. good garbage"  
issue that, e.g., only shows up as 'mwrank' is exiting, but I'm  
surprised whatever invokes it isn't picking it up.

The crash appears to happen near the end.  Any guesses on what  
sequence of commands sets it off?
