SAGE got mentioned a lot and I was a little surprised by this given that I did not hear much about it this summer at SNC/PASCO 2007 (http://www.orcca.on.ca/conferences/snc2007/site/programsncpasco/sncprogram.html). I don't know about ISSAC, though as I did not attend and would love to hear other people's experiences if they attended. Someone (I don't remember who) said that it might be a blessing in disguise that you couldn't make it since so many people are already mentioning it ;) . My impression is that SAGE is relevant especially if it gets used by more applied mathematicians, etc. AXIOM also got mentioned, especially by Emil Volcheck and he seems to think that open-source projects like AXIOM and SAGE have a place in getting funding by the government, whether it's though CDI or not.
