Hello, I just wanted to let everybody know Sage received > $1000 in donations recently, so I was able to have the University of Washington setup a special account for Sage. Now anybody can easily make tax-deductible donations to be used to support Sage development. I put a link to the "UW donations page" near the top of this page:
http://www.sagemath.org/ack.html The main use I have in mind for this money is to have it redistributed to specific students (both in the US and outside) who have put a lot of work into Sage development, as awards. It will also be used to fill small gaps in funding for workshops, bringing in visitors, etc. Regards, William -- William Stein Associate Professor of Mathematics University of Washington http://wstein.org --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to sage-devel@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-devel URLs: http://sage.scipy.org/sage/ and http://modular.math.washington.edu/sage/ -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
