Well, the download for andLinux is big 190Mbytes compressed (about the same size as Sage :-), but then it really is a paired-down Linux distribution so it's not going to be small. In order to do most anything interesting you also will have to apt-get the usual tool-set. Uncompressed, andLinux sets up a 2Gb disk partitiion (that can be easily re-sized after installation). It also has access to the Windows file system via something called "cofs" (native) or via smb mount. FriCAS with cached Lisp for fast compilation is about 40 Mbytes compressed. The FriCAS binary after installation is about 100 Mbytes. Meanwhile, I think by build of Sage from source is almost complete. No serious problems so far. I had to enlarge the disk partition once (because I have Axiom and some other things already there.) And I have had to apt-get some dependencies like bison and flex which I forgot about earlier.
