Hi Tim, I don't think the sign in page desparately needs cleaning up to the extent you suggest or in that direction; I like the one that is already there and there are more pressing needs. In the long run, it should be possible though for site admins to easily chose from different styles, and this will provide a nice way to include a style that you design.
Useful things you could do directly related to pressing goals include: * A sign up page -- there current one is not implemented really. * Specific suggestions for changing the "ad text" on the left of the sign in page. * Javascript/css to implement the three menus in the worksheet compute mode. The current drop down box thing doesn't look right and doesn't work with Safari. It would be better to have a menu like in Google documents (which I think is Javascript and css). Here you could just do a standalone mockup of something, and I could easily incorporate it. * Find and describe bugs (what you've reported already was very helpful). * I think that in addition to being able to rate published worksheets, people should be able to leave comments. How do you think the interface should work? Where do they leave the comments? How do they enter them? Etc. I somehow feel the rating system is incomplete. * List all issues with running the SAGE notebook from MS Windows; the kids in SIMUW next week will all be using the notebook from Mozilla or Firefox on Windows. * Make a list of what you think the options should be in each of the following configuration pages: * User preferences: maybe auto-save intervals, etc. * Server preferences (only admin users can configure, and has things about site style, etc.) * Individual worksheet preferences and settings * a design for a page with a list of users; sort by activity, order, etc.; click to see all worksheets/data they have published. -- William On 6/22/07, Timothy Clemans <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi I am working on cleaning things up.
