I just investigated and there must be some sort of huge memory leak with apache, twisted-moinmoin, or trac as configured on www.sagemath.org (which has nothing to do with sage.math.washington.edu, by the way). I upgraded all packages to the latest version, and will run a program to monitor top and figure out what is going on.
