Did you start with the code in SAGE_ROOT/devel/sage/sage/rings/padics
then modify it, etc.?  I put maybe 2 hours into getting that code
to import, and I want to know if you started again on that.  If so,
shouldn't you be making it available to use as an hg patch?  It's
extremely confusing to try to develop code without a source control
system in place, which makes me scared of
      sage.math.washington.edu/home/roed/padics07
In short, I would prefer to have code that I can apply to a clone
of my SAGE repository.  Then if I sit here for an hour, make some
changes so imports work for you, i can just send you back a patch, etc.
