Assalamu aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

I have also tried the Sabily 32-bit beta (both using wubi and directly). Without exception, they gave difficulties. 1. Unity is too much of a straight-jacket. Nothing with regard to desktop layout seems to be configurable. 2. On Gnome (3) there do not appear to be any panels; no menus can be accessed. The only way to shut down from Gnome 3 relatively safely is by terminating the X-server. 3. On Gnome Classic there are panels, but they are not configurable. 4. Only on Gnome Classic (without effects), everything appears to be functioning well. I thought it was my system, perhaps the nVidia card, because of my four-monitor setup. But following this thread, there appears to be something deeper. Although I am not particularly a KDE fan, everything is working well with KDE 4. My system has plenty of RAM (8 GB) and also enough video RAM (2 GB).
