I want to start using linux free OS. But im having hard time deciding which OS to choose. I mean which distributive. A friend of mine uses Debian, and he advised me to use Ubuntu. he said it is easy for a begginer. and has a nice and easy interface. And he told me that there is a linux OS for muslims- Sabily. Im happy that i found one of its developers.) He advised me to use Ubuntu, and as a muslim, and as a support for Sabily developing jama'at i wanted to use Sabily. But i have some questions. I never used linux based OS. always used windows. I will be happy to throw windows OS into a trashbox, but for some of applications i often use(like 3ds Max, Adobe after effects etc.) i need to keep windows. My questions are: Is Sabily similar to Ubuntu or not? and does it support all the applications that run on ubuntu and other debian distributives. and does it have a Russian language support. If it has, i will promote it to my friends here(in Dagestan). i will advise them to use Sabily, inshaAllah. Jazakalahu khairan akhee. And wafaqakallahu in your developing a useful OS.
