assalaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullaah, I am very new to opensource technology. I am coming from a staunch Windows support. However since this is for an Islaamic cause I would like to learn this technology and contribute in it, inshaa-Allaah. As far as learning is concerned then I have dedicated my time to it alhamdulillaah but I need from Sabily team to mentor me in how to start my contribution. Is there any beginner's guide or something for projects? For e.g. I need to contribute in Islaamic quiz as I think this can be a good starter for person like me. What do I need to do? Is there is project case, a project charter or any document related to business justification for the same?
My skills: ASP 3.0, ASP.Net, PHP (more than a beginner - I have created a database driven application for a photo album from scratch), C#, VB.Net, Java (beginner). I used to programme in C++ 15 years ago. Alhamdulillaah. Currently I am involve more in to the project management than programming and yet to do my PMP. Jazaakallaahu khair ...
