Right, "block" wouldn't make much sense for the flattening use-case. I'm not in
love with the "block" name either, that was inspired by the other use-case
rather than what it actually does. `%{arg:...}` might be closer to that, but
seems even stranger. Better suggestions would be welcome.
And yeah it's not exactly an elegant solution, just seems the lesser evil
compared to having folks abuse and suffer with %{expand:} for this purpose,
simply because it's such a low-hanging fruit.
