  Thanks for testing.

If you insert a triplet (be it with keyboard or mouse) and there is a note already on the beat ('slot') immediately after, inserting the first tuplet note (be it triplet or any other) seems to 'eat' back the [following] note ??

Thanks for catching this one. I suspect it might be related to Bug #1464.

I've added your observation to Bug #1464 and our test plan on the wiki. Hopefully Philip will have some time to look at this before delivery. Otherwise I'm faced with a difficult decision. This is some pretty fundamental stuff and it should work even if entering 7-tuplets doesn't. What to do? Remove the changes? Ship with the bug? Postpone the delivery? Not sure at the moment.

If more than one track is added each subsequent track has device + 1: is this expected?

Yes. This is working as requested.

- File > Merge > Merge file…. This has been rewritten and could use some testing of all features.

Doesn't seem to import channel, bank and programme?

No. Since the devices might be radically different between the two files, I decided just to punt on this for now. It's certainly something that would be helpful, especially when the devices are obviously exactly the same. I'll add some comments to the code for the future. If someone actually needs this, they can open a feature request. See MergeFileCommand.cpp::copyType() in the code.

What's expected? I seem to get the same dialog. I am on XFCE (Manjaro) with QT 5.15.2 (as reported by Rosegarden).

My best guess is that xfce doesn't offer native file dialogs? This feature was to help Chuck Elliot solve some problems he was having with the file dialogs in a specific version of Qt. So long as you aren't having any problems with file dialogs, you don't need this setting. That it has no effect on xfce is an interesting result that I will keep in mind.

Ted.
