If I were to make an efficient font that eliminated the need for pitch
bends, this would no longer work correctly on a GM-Lite equipped mobile
phone, would it? Even though making my own re-tuned font would be
efficient, doing a little more work will make my compositions much more
portable in the long run. I cannot expect to be able to load a custom font
onto most off-the-shelf sub-smartphones.
