Hello all, this is my first post to the list. I have joined because nobody on
the Mandriva forum seems to be able to help me. I have checked the archive
posts from this year and haven't found anything relevant.

I am running Mandriva 2010.2 and the Rosegarden version 11.02 from the
Backports repos. I mainly use Rosegarden to enter score in the notation
editor, play it back via MIDI to learn on my mandolin, and print out the score
for musical friends.

As far as I understand, the way to create an anacrusis/pick-up bar in
Rosegarden is to adjust the size of the segment to include, say, only the last
beat of the first bar. This gets displayed properly in the notation editor and
printed correctly after the Lilypond export: The first bar contains just the
last beat, all subsequent bars have their usual number of beats.

What isn't working well for me is the slightly more complex case where such a
segment gets repeated and then followed by another segment that also doesn't
start on the first beat. So the first segment ends, say, after the third beat
in
4/4 time, and the second segment starts with the fourth. In this case,
bizarrely, the printout moves the beginning of the second segment to the first
beat of the next bar, and consequently the bar lines in the second segment are
all wrong afterwards. They appear correctly in the Rosegarden notation editor,
it's just the export and printing that is the problem.

I know only a limited array of Rosegarden's features, so I may be making a
mistake in entering the notation or specifying the export options. But then
again, this may be a bug. If any fellow Rosegarden users would like to help
me, I can email an example RG file. Thank you!

Dennis
