Ma indoiesc. Last time I checked suportul pentru aplicatii era inca limitat la proxy-uri. Iar fw-urile nu prea au nici o duda cu application layer. Plus, IDS/IPS sunt folosite nu numai ca "active protection layer" ci si ca "audit trail/cover your ass factor layer". Plus, modelul de 'activitate' e complet diferit. Ar mai fi plus-uri din astea dar n-are sens sa teoretizam.
