Have you looked at this: 
https://subversion.xray.aps.anl.gov/pyGSAS/Tutorials/BkgFit/FitBkgTut.htm, but 
why is your zero-background plate giving you peaks? It should be off-cut so 
that there is no Bragg diffraction.
