I started purging graphite mirror (and all shutters) with dry nitrogen gas a
few years back. No problem since then.

Subject: Primary Ge monochromator oxidation

Dear All,
After observing a loss of intensity in the data collections, I demounted the
primary Huber Ge monochromator crystal of my Bruker D8 advance diffractometer,
and checking it under a binocular microscope I observed it is oxidized.
Somebody who experienced such a mess, eventually have any suggestion on how to
fix the problem cleaning up the oxidation?
best regards Natale Perchiazzi
