Hi Nrutya ,

GSAS comes packed with some "generic" instrument parameter files that are
located in the ~/ GSAS /examples/ directory.  These files can be opened/edited
with a simple text editor to match your instrument specifications.  If you are
using EXPGUI when you launch GSAS, you can load one of these generic files and
then edit the file using EXPGUI and it will save the file in the appropriate
format for you.  I start with the inst_x3a.prm as a template and adjust it
accordingly when using a laboratory diffractometer.

Hope this helps,

Benjamin Greve
