STRUCTURE-PROPERTY RELATIONSHIPS IN METAL HYDRIDES
The department of chemistry at Saarland University in Saarbruecken, Germany, has an open Ph. D. position for studying crystal structures and properties of metal-hydrogen systems by X-ray and neutron powder diffraction and thermal analysis. The applicant should have a degree in chemistry or a related area equivalent to a university diploma. A solid background in crystallography and solid state chemistry or physics is required, knowledge in X-ray and neutron diffraction or thermal analysis is an advantage. Part of the experimental work will be done at neutron radiation sources in Europe. The position is for two years and available immediately.
