Hi:
I am not, in any way, encouraging anyone to send copyrighted data over the
net. What I am saying is:
-there are people which, for various reasons, do not have access to this (or
other) database
-it is their right to find all the possible LEGAL ways to access the data
they need
-if they ask about this on this mailing list it is nothing ilegal with that
I think that the transmitter of this copyrighted material is at fault. I
don't remember seeing questions like "Hey, is there anyone who will gladly
spend 10 minutes and make some illegal posting of copyrighted material ?".
I think that ICSD is not the only source of this information; if there is a
researcher working on the same topic then what's wrong with sharing the
results of his own work or with references to scientific publications ?.
I agree with the "20$ theory" but I don't really believe that it would be
cost-ineffective to pay for only parts of the database. Oh, and coming to
that, I don't believe in the theory that "more users means cheaper", if I am
thinking of how much Win98 costs.
Sincerely,
N. Dragoe
