There is a new "partial" (due to space limitations)
experimental CCP14 software mirror in Melbourne
Australia thanks to CSIRO Minerals and permissions
from software authors. The mirror is easily
browseable via the address:
  ftp://ftp.minerals.csiro.au/pub/xtallography/ccp14/csiro/index.html
(or via the CCP14 Software Mirrors Page at:
  http://www.ccp14.ac.uk/mirror/mirror.htm)

If in the Australasian region; it may be quicker
to go to this (auto-updated daily) site to obtain
software and browse mirrored information. Also, if
in Australia, using this mirrored area may negate
volume charging for use of the international links.
(As using the UK CCP14 mirror does for those
based in Britain).

Software Includes:
Armel LeBail's software/website; Brian Toby's
software/web-ftp site; AXES; CRUNCH; CRUSH;
Crystals; Debvin; Dirdif; ETHZ Software;

and Code; XPowder, Convert Site; ORTEX Suite;
Oak Ridge ORTEP Site mirror; WinGX, WinOrtep,
WinStruplo, WinPlaton, THMA14c site; PATSEE

PS: For people's interest, auto-mirroring uses the
open source, free rsync software from
http://rsync.samba.org.  It takes around 2
to 3 minutes for rsync to make the
routine incremental daily check of ~1Gig of files to the
remote archive from the UK to Australia. (Rsync also
tries to only transfer the differences in the files -
not the entire file making it highly effecient).

Anyone with a Gig or 5 spare can easily implement
a CCP14 software mirror in their part of the world
if internet links are generally sluggish and/or
it is more convenient having a local mirror. The
rsync software is GPL'd free software. If interested,
contact me on the below address.
