Hi,

A colleague two cubicles over has had nothing but a pleasant experience with
the ATI DV Wonder firewire card and his two behemoth external hard-drives.
He's running Redhat 7.3. Speed and reliability appear to be fine, and daisy
chaining was no problem (even though the card comes with three ports, he
thought he'd try it just to see.)

I can't answer your specific questions, but thought I'd drop this line since
he doesn't watch this list.

Good luck,
