hi.

certain URLs have been hozing my version of netscape 4.77 so bad that it brings
my 7.1 box to a complete halt. it doesn't happen often and i've just been
viewing those URLs on a companion MS box. but. i actually have to manually
fsck my /home partition after each of these crashes and it's starting to
pis... annoy me. so i went to /var/log/. to try and trace this bugger. i
can't find a decent crash log. all i can read are to logs started up after
the disk-clean and reboot. i'm an IRIX guy who's used to seeing this
stuff in /var/adm/SYSLOG

where's the best place to try and trace crashes?

i suppose i should upgrade my version of netscape. i did once to 6.x, i think
it was. or maybe 5.x. i couldn't tolerate the newer netscape. no more
<alt><o> or <ctrl><o> for paste and go? i can't live without that. i know
this is kind of off the subject. but does anyone know if the newer netscapes
can be configured in an X-friendly manner (i.e., you highlight a URL in
a file or email, <alt><o>, <clear>, <paste>, repeat)?

thanks.
