hello,Werner,i compile 2.4.3 kernel on the smp machine(4xCPU,4G RAM),
and copy file bzImage to /boot named vmlinuz-2.4.3,add the following lines
into lilo.conf,run lilo then restart the machine:
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.3
label=linux2.4.3
root=/dev/sda1
when rebooting,the machine says that VFS cannot mount root file system on device
801 and then halt with no response.can you give me any suggestion?how to build a
RAM disk.i compile the kernel and reboot successfully on a PC without that.
thanks.
