I *believe* one of my newer servers does clear the RAM on boot, but I don't 
think this one does.  The server is an older model HP NetServer and I ran 
the diagnostics on the "NetServer Navigator" CD-ROM as well as 
Memtest-86.  Both passed so I'm not sure where else to look at the 
moment.  I don't remember the server ever doing this under 5.2 but then 
again it's had 6.2 on it for some time now and reboots are a rare 
occurrence anyhow.  I may try booting with an older version of the kernel 
and see what happens, although I expect it'll behave about the same.  Guess 
I'll just have to leave it running...not that it doesn't stay up 27x7 for 
long periods of time anyway.  :-)
