Yes, and you're doing a great job maintaining it. It's very easy to read and follow.
I've even printed part of it (sections 3, 4 and 5) for reference when not online. I am
curious why you didn't mention anything about Southern Bell or Ameritech or such in
the appendix section "8.5. Linux Friendly DSL ISPs" since they supply most of the hard
wire in the eastern states and DSL? They readily admit to being Linux compatible but,
in the same breath, don't support Linux.
You seem to favor heavily the Alcatel brand. Is Alcatel the only one that uses ATM or
is that something I need to work with? I am on a very tight budget and can't purchase
hardware whenever I need. I have checked places like uBid, Pricewatch and several
manufacturer sites. I have yet to find an ethernet only external modem that works on
an Ameritech account. Can you suggest a few cheap ones? Where can I find them?
