        If you have "smtp-server" set to the exchange server, then it
does not use Sendmail.  It sends directly to the server.  I don't know
much about exchange servers, so maybe someone that know more about them
can talk about their setup.  It sounds like it is set up to only accept
outgoing mail from specific machine, or from specific types of mail
programs.  It may also be checking the return address, and not liking
what it is seeing...  You may have to set up user-domain in pine so it
says you are from the correct network...
