Hello,
I've been trying to install RH 7.0 on a little box with little success. It
is a P166 wth pretty standard hardware, in fact it runs RH 6.2 just fine.
I've tried upgrading from 6.2 to 7.0, I've tried a custom install, server,
and workstation installs and all render the same error message when booting
up the first time.:
INIT:Entering runlevel 3
INIT: Id "1" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "2" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "3" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "4" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "5" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "6" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: no more processes left at this runlevel
Then just sits....
I try to boot into single user mode:
INIT: Entering runlevel 1
/etc/rc.d/rc: line 108: 14 segmentation fault egrep -q "(daemon
|action)" $i
/etc/rc.d/rc: line 108: 15 segmentation fault $i start
INIT: no more processes left at this runlevel
and that's it!
