What version of RedHat are you running?  For 6.x, you want rpm 3.05 or
3.06.  If you are using 5.x, I think rpm-3.0.2-5.x.i386.rpm from the 5.2
updates directory should work for you.

Just remember, you can not install binary RPMs from 6.x on a 5.x system,
or from a 7.x on a 6.x system.  You can try grabbing the source RPM and
compiling it on the system you want to run it on.
