Hi,
After many trials and tribulations I have RH 7.0 working
with the 2.2.18 kernel with diald up and going. As my
problems were due to a hacker, I want to make an image of
the entire HD to a CD - with the exception of the
/usr/src/linux directories. Then if my firewalls are
inadequate and I have to do a reinstall I can copy the image
back to the reformatted HD and not have to go through all
the configuration issues, kernel rebuilding etc.
I would also like to make this a bootable CD incase I am
out of town so my office manager can put it in the computer,
change the bios to boot from the CD, and get it going
again. The computer serves as ONLY a diald server and
firewall. No other functions are provided - no printer, no
X-windows, no web services, no ftp server, etc.
If there is a good document describing the method of
reaching my goal I would appreciated it's name so I can read
up on it.
