Have you TRIED rpm -Uvh glibc-2.1.92-14.i686.rpm
rpm-<some.version.here>.rpm? That is how you are supposed
to handle interdependant rpm upgrades. This works for
upgrading Netscape via RPM (requires two of three files be
installed and you can NOT install one before the other --
BOTH have to be installed at the same time...)
