switchdesk hasn't been updated to support the real KDE 2 yet.
The KDE2 setting in switchdesk is for the KDE 2.0 preview on the second CD
of Red Hat Linux 7 (which went to /usr/lib/kde2 so it could coexist with
1.1.x).

Do this:
ln -s /usr/bin/kicker /usr/bin/kpanel # Bypass the switchdesk sanity check
switchdesk KDE
