Hello. I've been following the problems with KDE2 installation.
I was able to install all of KDE 2.0 plus supporting libaries (i.e. libmng) by
uninstalling the old KDE rom RH 6.2 and slowing installing KDE2 insuring that
all dependancies where met. I reinstalled switchdesk, switchdesk-gnome and
switchdesk-kde.

I am able to run applications from the KDE menu under gnome which would make
sense.

However, when I run switdesk KDE2 to switch from gnome to KDE2 i received the
following message.

    Red Hat Linux switchdesk 3.5
    Copyright (C) 1999, 2000 Red Had, Inc
Redistrubutable under the terms of the GNU General Public License
    ERROR: KDE 2.0 not installed!

I checked the .Xclients file and .Xclients-default file under /root and behold,
it has the following:

    # Created by Red Hat Desktop Switcher
    exec gnome-session

Anybody have similar problems switching between the two desktops and if so were
you able to solve the problem?

Thank you.
Lou Spironello
