I recently updated to 2.2.16-3 also, I did the kernel, kernel source,
kernel headers, kernel docs, etc., etc. After the kernel upgrade I was
missing the links /usr/include/linux and /usr/include/asm, as you describe.
I don't know whether it's a bug in the upgrades, or if I just did them
in the wrong order, or what. Easy enough to fix, for you or me, but some
people would be completely stumped by it. Hope RH fixes it soon!
