I don't think anyone is blaming you for running a windows box. I have
one right next to my linux box on a KVM switch. I got real tired of
having two keyboards, two mice, etc on a small desktop. :-)
I still use the linux box as my primary machine, mainly because I
work for a "linux-friendly" local ISP and my machine at work is
linux. However, there are, as you pointed out, a few things that
still work better under windblows than linux. Newsreading for
example. I have yet to see a newsreader for linux that's as good as
Agent. Further, the only off-line mail reader available for Hotmail
accounts is Outlook Express, so I still have to use that. :-) And,
I'll have to admit, Microsoft's new Media Player is pretty nice --
it'll even catalog all your MP3 files for you. ;-)
So, yes, we will give you a little ribbing now and again for running
a windows box, but just keep in mind that many of us still use
Windows for some things, either at work, at home or both. :-)
