Yea, like Ragnar Wiencke said, reinstall wu-ftpd and you'll fix your
problem. I had a similar problem and rather the try and hunt down the
problem it was easier just to reinstall.. It only takes about 30 seconds..

I'm trying to setup an FTP server for the first time and having litte luck.
The error message that I'm getting is "connection refused" as I try to login
to the FTP server form the command line on the same box (I should be able to
do this to verify operations right?). I have the FTP server loaded and the
anonftp client loaded. HELP!!!
