"tar xzf NAME.tar.Z" should do it. Or "tar xzvf NAME.tar.Z" if you want
to watch it while it's working.
However, I once found an extremely helpful script called "x", which
allows you to unpack and/or view most common archves. It can be found
here: http://www.zip.com.au/~cs/scripts/x
Have a closer look at http://www.zip.com.au/~cs/scripts as well, that
guy (Cameron Simpson) has quite a few nice little helper scripts.
