Does anyone know dos/win needs to be the first partition? My 8.4 gig EIDE
drive is as follows:
hda1 /boot 10 megs *Active*
hda2 /mnt/c 2 Gigs
hda3 swap
hda4 / the rest of the drive (about 6 Gigs)
I have dos 6.22 currently installed on hda2 but when I attempt to install
win98 or 95 I get strange errors and reboots. When installing from the
CD, it goes 1 step further but complains about a bad setup (CAB) file and
quits. I changed hda2 to active but it didn't help, the only thing I can
think of is the order of the partitions. My system is:
P-100 24 megs of RAM
fujitsu 8.4 Gig EIDE
single speed CD-ROM
