Hi,

I just helped a friend fix this error.  There is a syntax error in your
/etc/conf.modules file.  How the error was created I don't know
(presumably a bug in the install process).

In our case there was an incomplete "alias" line in the file that was
causing the "conf:1: missing argument" message.  If you'd like, post your
conf.modules file to the list - I'm sure there are many who could spot the
error and tell you how to fix it.
