I just can't seem to get the win95 client setup correctly for DNS. The
name server is working, I can resolve ip addresses but not the same ones
that my server resolves. For example, if I ping "www" from dos, I get
an address, say 24.0.1.2 yet if I ping "www" from the server I get
24.3.4.5, two totally different ip addresses. This screws up my mail
and news programs as well as being able to bookmark the homepage.
I have hard coded the proper ip addresses for the time being.
I am using the same nameserver as nslookup reports is using, and I put
the hostname as the alias reported when I resolve the ip names in
question. Am I missing something obvious? Am I looking at the right
place?
