I've been thinking of messing around with a simple alternate display for a
car-based linux player. There are many small display units available
cheaply; what are the odds of working one out as a serial display?
Something like a numeric keyboard to move the selections around (obviously
we are talking a ready-made cloned system that has a proc, mobo, ethernet
card, and HD. All others are extraneous (ok, maybe a CD player, but
that's bigger than I'd like)
sooooo....
Anyone use linux with an alternate display?
