I've never heard of Harmony. When I did my research on minihubs I was
told that D-Link was the hub of choice. Perhaps somebody else here has
some info they can provide or Harmony has a web site somewhere...
Sounds like the right number of ports for a home network (the hub). I
would however recommend when you cable to go with CAT 5 cabling. It's a
little pricy compared to the others but you won't regret it. Home Depot
sells it for about 15 cents a foot typically. Or you can get some
pre-made ones for a little more.
I recommend you setup your computers/hub in a "STAR" configuration.
That is where your hub is the center of your network and every PC plugs
into it in a one on one manner. Don't interconnect the computers, go
straight into the hub. This way should anything go wrong only one
system is affected (unless it's the hub of course) and it will be easy
to upgrade in the future should you desire.
Good luck with your home network. I've had a setup like this for years
and it's alot of fun. I'm waiting for DSL to be available in my area
before I put the house on the internet. Hopefully soon.....

Computers are actually powered by Chaos theory, not electricity... that
is just for the fan.
