Go to the MySQL website and read the documentation. They have RPMs and
tell you which you need. One of the lengthy on-line manuals tells you what
you need to to post-install to get it running.
To "get mysql functionality into" a web page, you have to write some sort
of CGI or server-side code to use the database. Perl has some nice
functionality and a lot of code floating around. A lot of people like PHP
too.
