All is well at work. However, I am having problems with my dual boot
home computer.
Specs:
Computer: Pentium 166MHz
Boot: LILO with RH6.0 & Win95
Bios: Award v4.51PG Oct. 18, 1996
I checked out the award web site and they have fixes for the bios for
Linux OS. However, the fix is installed in the MBR (same place as
LILO). The test program actually queries whether you are using some
type of bootloader and will not install fix if you are.
Anyone else having this problem? Are there any quick solutions other
than the obvious, "Remove Win95." I can't do this as it is a family
computer and my little boy would be sorely disappointed if he can't
play "Reader Rabbit," etc.
If I reboot, I will have to manually set the time in the bios setup.
Not an optimal option.
Thanks,
Carey
