I have a smooth running linux box (5.2 rh) that is used for samba and
network monitoring. It is fairly static. I have a 6 gig disk in it and
have come up with an extra identical disk. They are pci. I would like to
make backups a no brainer by copying disk 1 to disk 2, perhaps once a
week or so. My thought is to hook up the second disk, back up disk 1 to
it and then unhook it, thereby protecting it by having it off the power.
Can any of the gurus out there comment on this and perhaps offer some
suggestion. Raid seemed like more of a setup than I wanted to do but I
am open to suggestions. I have copied disk to disk with GHOST but ended
up with "LI" when I tried to boot off the second disk.
