I had this problem as well, the problem solved itself when I reinstalled
Communicator 4.04. If you still have the communicator 4.04 rpm or tar
file that would be my recommendation. Another thing that cause my
communicator to foul up is the install of gcc-2.8.0... I would recommend
against this as well until 2.8.0 is futher tested.
